Thursday, March 1st, 2012Gods & Robots installation:
Original photography – Sameer Tawde
Installation setup – Anand Tharaney
Art Direction – Kurnal Rawat
For the last year I have been working with Grandmother India on a 250pg hard bound book, called “Gods & Robots”.
The book discusses the Ganpati Festival from a design and theory perspective, specific to the displays, workshops and artisans in and around Bombay.
The festival is part of the Hindu god Ganesh’s birthday which goes on for 10 days; starting from the 20th of August till the 15th of September. For more info on the festival please click Here.
As a prelude to the upcoming book some photographs and hybrid sculptures were produced for the Diesel+Art Exhibition – Did anyone Notice? Several other re-known artists also featured work, including Charmi Gada Shah, Maadol Mukherjee, Soazic Guezennec, Grandmother India, Mukul Deora, Pat, Vivek Vilasini, Ratna Gupta, Ali Akbar Mehta, Munir Kabani and Rajendra Kapse in collaboration with curator Kanchi Mehta of Chameleon Art Projects.
Do check it out if you in Bombay.

Down at the printers…
Wednesday, June 29th, 2011Got a new phone with a camera so i can now push content while on the got to the blog and twitter.

Rolls of big paper. I liking the tones in the blue, pink, yellow and white.
Sometimes you may notice buildings in Mumbai that have their own colour theme, lil elcoves or parts of larger buildings. I do like this pic and the splashes of color.

Political signage, nice dribble. . .

Mmm, now having custom made door/key hole initals might be cool and all, but what baffles me is why did they not place the key hole lower in the “A”.
