As the Art & Design Director and Curator for Kulture Shop, my role was to galvanize the Indian graphic art scene and raise the bar for this emerging movement. Through an eight-step curation process, we evaluated work for the platform, emphasizing originality, conceptual thought, and supporting artists in strengthening their visions. By applying my curation knowledge and techniques, we were able to unlock a wealth of rising talent.

In the exhibition development and curation process, the number 8 emerged as a prominent motif. With its symbolic and cultural significance, representing multiplicities, cosmic balance, and resurrection, it serves as a metaphor leading to future opportunities. Through "The Eighth Dimension," we embarked on a unique journey crafted by eight curated artists, delving into a multimedia exploration of art and storytelling. This evocative sensory journey, facilitated by the Audi Q8 series, transports us across space and time.

As the Head Creative Consultant on this, I had to direct the installation, curate and communicate with artists and be the primary contact point for the agency.

INDERNET, an annual exhibition, delves into the intersections of digital and Indian culture. Since its launch in 2018, I have played a significant role in curating this showcase, featuring over 50 artists. It has provided a platform for many of them to exhibit internationally for the first time.

‘As a South Indian who grew up in Germany, the works speak to me from the heart; whether the representation of the Tiffin Towers or the Indian matryoshka - you have definitely hit the zeitgeist! I wish you continued success and hope to visit your exhibition next year too!’ - Annu, Exhibit Visitor
